About

Danielle

Danielle’s career in working with children began at an early age, volunteering her time as a teenager and throughout college, at Big Brothers Big Sisters. After college she worked in daycares and nannying until she earned her Early Childhood Education units to teach preschool. After earning her ECE units, she taught preschool and kindergarten at a Montessori school which then led her to further her education by earning her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA. Her journey at Dominican University allowed her the opportunity to work with adolescents and their families within multiple school settings in Santa Rosa, CA. In addition to the above, she worked as a School Counseling Mental Health Coordinator at a charter school serving grades K-12. As a School Counseling Mental Health Coordinator, she coordinated mental health services and resources for students, as well as conducted assessments, counseling sessions and group interventions. These previous experiences all allowed her the opportunity to gain skills and extensive knowledge with a wide age range.

Danielle had always dreamt of finding a career that would allow her to support individuals and their families to grow and strengthen their family system. She believes in creating a nurturing, compassionate, and judgment free space for her clients and their families to express themselves authentically. Using play, art, and sand tray therapy tools she is able to support her clients in finding their inner calm and emotional regulation while also supporting them in strengthening the positive relationships within their lives. Danielle is concrete in her approach as she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory to inform her work. When working with children and adolescents, she engages the parents to ensure that meaningful change can occur and they can gather the supports needed to reach their therapeutic goals.

Currently, Danielle is participating in a certification program which will add to her specialization in working with children, adolescents and adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD/ADD). The program will provide her with a strength-based understanding and foundational framework from which to support her clients as well as their family. Danielle hopes to finish her ADHD-CCSP by the end of 2024.

Danielle’s passion in life is to support children, adolescents, adults, and families in their mental health journey in hopes that they can thrive in all aspects of their lives.
